I’m free! They let me go this morning, Jo picked me up, and it’s straight back to the races - tonight we’ll load up the truck, and by tomorrow evening everything will be in our new place above Reeperbahn. Can’t wait.
Thanks Bochum!
The doctors actually are the blast of the day. I’m forced to stay here another day, which makes this stay longer than the one two years ago, when they put that metal in my elbow and it was much worse. I almost have full movement again by now. Well, at least for the elbow.
It’s boring as FUCK.
Imagine a group of five or six REALLY happy doctors storming your room every morning between 6.30 and 7am. Loud talking and laughing, making fun of the patients, obviously having the blast of the day.
Happens here every day. They’re plain crazy in BBochum.
Blogger via Communicator… Long live wireless communication. Greetings from the hospital, it’s all good. The elbow is gonna be good. Bergmannsheil in Bochum has to be the best hospital I’ve been in yet. We’ve got a balcony, lots of light, friendly nurses… The food sucks, but that’s about the only bad thing. Jo takes care of that. Best girl on the planet.
I’ll be out by wednesday… I hope.
Small mistake… The actual date to cross fingers is tomorrow. They’ll just check today, surgery is tomorrow. A day at the races.

Sitting around, waiting for the knife to come. Or at least it feels like that. Jumped the sinking t-offline-boat and took my benjamins to 1und1. Time for a short comparison…

No keys for us, but somewhere in between a quarter and a third of the stuff we have to move, has moved. Not to Hamburg, but somewhere else, and most of it wasn’t my stuff anyway, so… Good it’s out of the way. The rest will have to wait until after the surgery and a couple of days off. I don’t really think about the surgery itself - I look forward to a couple of days in bed and no obligations. The painkiller-cocktails in Bielefeld two years ago were great as well… Made me pretty happy. I wonder if they have those in Bochum as well? Wednesday is the day, keep your fingers crossed.
Thanks a lot to everybody who helped today. See you next week to everybody else.

T-Online is trying to fool me. I’ve been trying to log into the customer area for more than a week now, but it’s simply not happening. It took me three phone calls to convince them that the error is in fact in their database (that third call was on monday). So they told me, they’d take care… Instead, they took a shit or something. Still no login for me. Plus, I’m anxiously waiting for a call from Mr. Stahl - hopefully he’ll tell me that we can have the keys to our new place tomorrow. The move is on.

It’s getting serious… Who wants to help us move house this upcoming weekend? Beer and food are there, everyone is welcome. Contact umzug@davidluther.com - if you do, I count on you! So please: do.
Good night.
Sheesh, thought I had an entry here last thursday, but it seems like a dying server stole the bits. Oh well.
First: CONGRATULATIONS to Jo Marie Farwick… I knew you’d make it to Jung von Matt, and it only took one shot. And what a shot that was…

Splash! 2003 was the best thing ever. I don’t even have the right words for that - best contest, best concert, best atmosphere, best weather, simply the best. Thanks Chemnitz, thanks Phlatliners, thanks Tilman and everyone at COS, thanks to the Flaake-Men, Detlef Richter, all the locals that helped build the ramps… Thanks. That was… The best. Ever.
